This season I think was by far the Worst of the Series. I understand they need to set up all the plot lines to finish the books that are out, but I found myself bored on almost every episode besides the Little Girl BBQ.

Agreed, this season was terribad. One of the worst seasons I have seen in a long time, not just in thrones, but in any mainstream series. Just like what Daph said, every episode besides the last 2 were just nothing but plot liine after plot line, nothing to keep me on the edge of my seat, or even wanting to see the next episode. Then they just go and kill off John Snow, considering that he was about the only mainstay plot point throughout this entire season. Terrible execution all the way around in this season, I want my 10 hours of life back!

Really? I wouldn't say it was bad though I mean it had some pretty cool scenes....like the fighters pit, the white walkers....sucks Jon Snow got the shiv lol but I've learned not to get attached to GOT characters lol

Was it as good as some of the previous seasons....no, was it bad enough to say you wasted 10 hours of your life? Lol I'm sure you probably waste a lot of time on worse things then Game of Thrones :p

Well yes, the last 2 episodes were good Mirros, but hell even they should have been better then they were. They were the season finale episodes, or at least the last one. But to end it just with Snow getting julias caesared, stupid. There was not a single episode till episode 9 where I genuinely wanted to see what happened in the next episode, because there was no underlying plot or climax that was going to happen. It was all of these little super tiny insignificant sub plots, which out of all of them, the only half decent one was Aria's no faced man plot. About the only main plot string that we probably won't see till season 7 or 8, at this rate, is Khaleesi marching forward with her dragons and army to take on the other primary families. All the other plot lines I kind of felt were just filler, they didn't have any passion or real meaning behind them, other then Arias.

Of course no it wasn't a complete waste, but yes it was a waste because Game of Thrones has become like a tradition for me and my friends, we all rotate houses and have Thrones night on Sundays, and this season was just so blah, no one was getting super hyped for the next episode on Sunday. It was just like another day.

Haha well that's with any show....can't keep the momentum that they build up, look at Walking Dead.....at one point I almost wanted to stop watching it lol or Boardwalk Empire. I think it's more so the fact that once you get into your 4th or 5th season it's hard to continually give people what they want......even in books.

I'm not sure why it made an emote for dead lol

Yeah this is very true Mirros, but for me I am looking at thrones pretty objectively, since I haven't read the books. But still it is challenging that is for sure. Yeah lol emotes on here are weird, I haven't a clue what triggers some of them.

I honestly think Game of Thrones hit it's peak and now it's just on its decline. Especially since HBO is going to take their own direction with it.....but who knows that could end up working well.

If they actually have a significant battle in the season I think it will be good. But season 5, only significant entertaining battle was in the fighting pit coliseum with Khaleesi getting flown off on her dragon. I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of detail in the Stannis @ Winterfell battle, was just horrific and lazy. They were building up to that battle in like 4 episodes at least, and then they just quickly finished it up in like less than 2 minutes.

I think the battle of Winterfell was different in the book too....Sansa wasn't even there. I'm not big on books so my buddy fills me in haha

This thread needs spoiler alert at the top, lol. The book isn't so cinematic, in fact the whole book is meant to be a big FU to conventional fantasy herodom.

One of the re-occuring themes in the books is that the good guy, the honest person, the one who deserves things is never the one who gets them. Ruthlessness, cunning, and obscurity are sociopathic qualities required to manipulate others to gain and hold power (ie modern politicians)
