Icy Veins Blood Page 1. Class Overview The Blood specialisation relies on dodging and parrying attacks (as they cannot block them) and on self-healing. In fact, due to this ability to routinely self-heal using Death Strike, Blood Death Knights are surprisingly self-sufficient. In addition to self-healing, Blood Death Knights also have a high number of defensive cooldowns to use throughout the fight, leading to the player having a very active role. This means that mastering the specialisation is particularly important in order to have a smooth damage intake. Note that this guide focuses on aspects that are specific to Blood Death Knights, and general tanking strategies are beyond its scope. If you wish to know more about the tanking role and what you can do to improve, we recommend that you read our tanking guide. 2. Significant Legion Changes The Blood specialisation has not changed significantly from Warlords of Draenor, but there are still notable differences to keep in mind. Presences have been removed. Resolve has been removed. The Rune System has been drastically simplified (there is now only one type of Rune, and Runes recharge individually). Outbreak, Frost Fever, Army of the Dead, and Soul Reaper have been removed. Bone Shield is now applied each time you use Marrowrend (a new ability). Death Strike now costs Runic Power, and there is no other Runic Power spender The above section is from ICY Veins.
